   It’s an ignition key. You insert it into the ignition switch and give it a small twist, and the golf cart will operate. All 5 of them work/fit just fine.

   Always misplacing the golf cart keys so decided to just have multiple copies. And that has absolutely dissolved that problem of not finding the golf cart keys. Just make sure you order the keys for the right cart model and with that you have five working keys. Moving on to the next little hill.
