   I Do The Speed Limit – October 27, 2019

   The course we regularly play–it’s right out our back gate–has quite a few sand traps positioned smack dab right up close to the greens. And they are deep traps, hard to climb out off. I like this club for getting out of them. (My balls seem to love to play in the sand…..) This wedge gives a high arc, and the ball plops down and stays put. And that’s a good thing, because I watch my fellow players’ balls roll right off the other side……It’s got a wide face, a 60 degree angle, and the right amount of weight. I’m thinking the steel shaft gives me an extra bit of weight and stability–and I think I need that in these sand traps.Now, if a sand trap is away from the green and I’m not at the deep end, I’ll choose a wedge with less of an angle–to send the ball lower and further.

   This is a great wedge. It’s actually way better than we expected it to be. The color is very rich and beautiful…it looks great. It does provide a good lift and feels really well balanced. Weight is good…probably heavier than we planned on, but it works out great. It does exactly what you expect it to, and appears very well made. Only thing is, now we want the rest of everything to kind of match since it looks so good!

   This club is well made. It provides great spin and control. I play golf regularly and I have used it in several times. It hasn’t let me down yet. The weight in well balanced and feels good in my hands when I am using them. This Taylor made club lives up to the brand name. You know what you are getting.

   Nice feel to the club and after several hits on the mat the copper color came off the sole and then the face actually turned rusty and you could wipe off the rust
