This is a good cart, slightly better than the two or three Sun Mountain push carts I have owned previously. I live in a tidal area, so the courses are quite flat and ideal for these three-wheeled carts that are used by many of the members of our club. This is the first Bag Boy I have come across at our club– I grew tired of fighting the “hook or slice” tendency of my previous push carts, so I felt this front swivel wheel would eliminate that problem, and lead to less effort overall pushing it along. It is light and well-designed with respect to the storage pockets, folding, etc. Better than my previous carts. But, there is a bit of a knack to using these swivel carts– the front wheel has a lever lock on the handle that locks it straight– this is necessary to do when on a slope, eg,, as the cart might steer itself right into a pond– this is very easy to do, with one finger and not a problem.. The brake is perfect, unlike the bicycle type brakes some carts have, this locks the spokes– ain’t going anywhere! I have played about 7 rounds with the cart so far and like it. and have recommended it to my playing partners, who all are quite interested.

I have used this for a few rounds now and I think it is great. I used to use a sun mountain speed cart but i gave that to my wife and bought this one. I really liked the sun mountain but the bagboy folds up smaller, is easier to carry around once folded, has much better brakes and the swivel wheel is great. The SM’s brakes are situated below the handle of the cart so i always forgot to unlock it before trying to push it. BB’s brakes are on the side, much easier to see and engage. I like the swivel feature of BB and is very easy to turn off and on which is good because I frequently do. I turn off the swivel feature if I am pushing the cart with one hand (while drinking for example), going over a curb or if I plan on going straight for an extended distance. The compartment for balls is very good too. The SM compartment would fly open when i folded it spilling the contents. Water bottle holder on BB is better too, water doesn’t flop around like on SM.The only negative about BB that i can think of is my golf bag sometimes twists on the cart. I find that annoying. To avoid that i have to make sure the straps are tight. Didn’t have that issue with SM since my bag is also SM and they were made to fit together. SM probably rolls a little better too because it has nice foam tires while BB’s is hard plastic. BB rolls pretty good though, no complaints.

Love it and love to walk the course. there are a couple of things I would like different. I would like a little deeper netting, the pouch underneath could have a draw sting, zipper or Velcro to keep it closed. This will not bother most people 90 % but if you play on a very hilly course as I do, there is the potential for something to fall out. BUT it hasn’t happen yet. Also another ball holder or bag on the side would be nice. This is just items I would prefer to add. As far as the unit, it works great, love the swivel wheel. word of caution if you leave the break lever in the lock position and lay it down it can be snapped out of position. it did not break it but I was able to snap it back into position, but I could have broken it as well. Also if you lay it in the back of say a pickup with a tonto cover and it gets very hot it could warp the plastic wheels as it did mine, I was able to set in the up right position in the folded configuration and they returned to normal. Don’t leave stored on its side in high heat environments. you may need to adjust the cable that locks the front wheel, which is no big deal. It did take a little to get use to how it folds up, but once you learn the tricks its not bad. Happy golfing. Swivel wheel is a must have.

I don’t usually make time for product reviews. I purchased a hand cart so I could get a little more exercise in vs. riding. I spent about 30 minutes researching online and I pulled the trigger on this purchase. I was attracted to the Bay Boy reputation and I like the features I saw online. I play 120 rounds plus a year so no matter what I bought, I would easily recoup my cost in reduced cart fees.So far, through about 10 plus rounds, I really like the;1 – smooth roll while pushing.2 – the sturdiness3- the quality materials used and thoughtful design4 – the quick fold up into the back of the SUV.5 – the choice in using the swivel (or not)I spent a little more money than I initially considered and I am very glad I did. It’s really 6 stars on five from me…

Incredibly easy to open and extremely easy to maneuver around the course. Iβve used a lot of carts that tip or the bag slips but not here. The front wheel is a game changer. My brother bought a competing brand and regrets it.

I had to adjust the end of the front wheel pivot lock cable at the handle to keep it from locking when it was disengaged. This work cost the item a star, 5 to 4 on the maneuverability score. Replacing that star in the overall category was the fact I got it here preowned, but only the outer box looked to have been opened – the contents all were still plastic-wrapped as if it was new, so I saved some serious $ there.

Works great, easy to push, lots of accessories. One problem, the locking feature to keep the front wheel straight broke on use #3. Locking the front swivel is important for one handed pushing, without the cart locked the terrain will dictate where you will go. Folds up much smaller than you think it will, opens and closes very easily. I would always pick a swivel wheel, friends have the Quad and it is not as easy to maneuver.

Since just joined a club that I literally live across the street from. It is beautiful but very walkable course so I know I am going to use this cart a lot, as in several times a week, so I splurged and paid a little more than I probably had to. First off it was easy enough to assemble. Out on the course it is by far the best cart I have used and I am completely sold on the importance of a swivel front wheel. So much easier to maneuver on the course. The brake and swivel lock are easy to engage/disengage. Plenty of storage without being bulky. Pretty much perfect.
