We had to replace our microwave after a kitchen remodel only 5 years ago and this is the upgraded replacement for the exact model we are replacing. Same measurements, same codes, same drawer microwave only an upgraded look. Unfortunately, we were not anticipating the change in the touch panel now being flip down/up brought. They failed to mention the electrical box that is behind the flip panel that changed our ability to easily slide it into our built in space. This unmentioned change required my husband to jigsaw part of our wood cabinet support. Thankfully it is hidden by the microwave flip touch panel, but if they ever decide to change dimensions again we might have a problem. We aren’t impressed with the new look of the flip panel itself. It looks a bit cheap for a sleek new look as described. We also were disappointed on the arrival of our microwave. It was packed with multiple broken pieces of Styrofoam and had a major bend and a dent, both of which my husband was able to correct, but we feel shouldn’t have been packed so poorly. On a positive note, I am thrilled with the power and the way this microwave does cook.

I’ve had this microwave in use in my home for about three years now with absolutely no issues. The space inside is much smaller than previous microwaves I’ve owned but it’s large enough for everything I’ve tried to put into it. For example, it will hold a 4 cup pyrex measuring cup, large glass mixing bowls, etc. You’re not cooking a turkey in this thing, but who cooks stuff like that in a microwave anyway?Sharp makes the “guts” for all the other drawer microwave sellers, so there’s really no reason to spend more for a fancier name brand unless you like the looks better. The mechanicals inside are identical to the Sharp. We’ve had no issues with ours, despite daily use.I recently installed a 2nd Sharp drawer microwave in my vacation rental. The drawer style microwave offers a very clean installation, is low enough for kids to use, and saves from having a large ugly microwave taking up valuable counter space. The only reason I can’t give this 5 stars is because the price is ridiculous.

The value for the money is low because this thing is stupid expensive without providing anything extra for the price … it’s a drawer … I get it. I do like the functionality of a drawer coming out vs. a door being opened (ours is mounted in an island down low). The problem I have is that we paid extra for the larger microwave. It came in 24″ or 30″ so we went for the 30″ and ordered custom cabinets accordingly. What we GOT was a 24″ microwave with a 30″ faceplate. the microwave itself is NO bigger. Had we known that, we would have ordered the smaller one and used the extra space for cabinets.

I have had this microwave now for 3 yrs. Purchased when we did our kitchen renovation and this seemed to be the only microwave that would fit perfectly in the under counter space built in by my contractor. I hesitated at first since I did not have much of a choice because of the space size but pleased with microwave. My son and I installed ourselves. Just plug it in, slip into space and secure face plate with provided screws. We use it multiple times a day and highly pleased. I have toddler grandchildren and especially like that the front control buttons can be hidden with a quick push of the hand.

I had the older version of this microwave which I loved. Unfortunately in year 11 it started arcing and it was oart of a recall. I had a 30β cabinet built for this size so it was not an option to buy another brand as Sharp is the only one who makes a 30β. Paying 900. Over the previous version didnβt sit well either. I do not like this flip version and there is no food chart on the inside of the drawer either. My cabinet had to be notched out at the top to accommodate this new flip version which feels cheap and will likely break easily.NOW all of that being said I still love it. I love how it reheats- my most used button. I love having a drawer under my counter instead of a door type over my stove and not having one on my countertop. The style of this one is a little more contemporary for my kitchen.

I have enjoyed my SHARP Microwave Drawer since October 2022. The appliance has allowed me and my family to heat our food within a short time. Unfortunately, however, we have encountered an issue that has negatively impacted our ability to have the convenience of finishing cooking in record time during these unconventional times. The heating unit isn’t working, and we are having difficulty getting it resolved. Unfortunately, I don’t have another $1,400.00 to purchase another unit because it would cause my family a great deal of HARDSHIP.Would it be possible that some can assist with addressing this issue?ThanksChristopher Covington

Save you the frustration and go with another brand. This is a typical big name with no backup, support or service. the $1300 microwave worked ok for the first 10 months. Then the panel started not responding occasionally and finally stopped working entirely. However itβs Sharpβs support that really kills me. Itβs another one of these outsourced Indian phone banks, with operators that know nothing and cannot understand you. After 30 minutes of asking for irrelevant info that I had to repeat 4 times and she still got wrong, I finally get to ask a support question. They repeat my questions back to me, but completely wrong of course. Finally the response was βhere are numbers of service centers in your area as the unit is not under warranty.Tried asking for a supervisor and was cut off.
