After a bit of browsing on Amazon, I ended up purchasing this putting green because 1) the 10′ length lets me practice at various distances, 2) it has a regulation-sized hole and a smaller hole, which is great for working on my precision, and 3) it has a ball return.A quick note about the ball return is that it consists of several pieces that connect together magnetically. I’ve found that if I ever want to practice at a particular distance, I can remove one or several of the pieces to easily return the ball closer to the specific distance I want. This is a pretty nice feature of this matThis putting green is good. It does what it needs to do. However, it’s not great.I paid around $100 for this, and chose it against some competitors that I saw priced all the way down at $30. I opted for this one because I wanted something with better quality, ideally with a thicker green that would be closer to a real course. The green is fine. I was expecting it to be thicker and heavier. The texture is close enough to real putting green, but for the price that I paid for this it should be better. First of all, it seems mine has a slight curve to one side. Not a big deal, but if I’m trying to line up my shot based on the lines on the mat, I won’t be getting a perfectly straight line. My biggest complaint about the green is that the end of it doesn’t lay entirely flat because it came rolled up in the box. Several months after owning it, and even after placing heavy weight on it to try to lay it flat, or rolling it the opposite direction that it came rolled up, it still has a slight kink at the last ~6″.The worst thing about this is the way that the “base” of the mat is constructed. It comes largely preassembled, but there are two additional pieces that are designed to slot into the main body – one tall piece that holds up your putter, and one piece that kind of works like a headboard and prevents your ball from flying past the end of the mat. This would normally be fine, but these two pieces slot into the main body INCREDIBLY loosely. Every single time I’d hit a ball into it, it rattles the entire base. I ended up using wood glue to attach the two pieces to the main body permanently, which fixed the rattle. However, I think this kind of build is entirely unacceptable for what they’re charging for this. The headboard piece really doesn’t have any reason why it can’t just be attached to the main body right out the box, as it only adds about 2″ of height, and they can come up with a better way to install the putter support, even if it involves a couple screws.Overall, 2/5 stars. I’m not sure what kind of quality you’d get out of some of the cheaper competitors, but I can’t recommend this one for the hundred bucks I spent, and definitely wouldn’t purchase it for the $116 I’m seeing it listed on Amazon right now.

My husband is an avid golfer and I got him this for Fatherβs Day. He absolutely loves it, said it was the best gift he has ever had. He set it up in his man cave and uses it daily. Our 10 year old enjoys it as well. He loves how the ball comes back. I got a gold star on this gift!!! And you get a gold star.

Took some time to get the creases out of the βgreenβ , still have a little ,but helps with the true imperfect natural greens.

Overall it is a very useful inddor tool for putting. It is quite noisy if you stroke the ball to hard and it bounces off the backboard, which is made of wood. I am adding a felt pad to deaden the noise.
