Dr. Who –
I have both the short and long SKLZ Gold Flex Swing Trainers. Those are great but too heavy for my 6 year old daughter. Even the 40 inch Gold Flex is too heavy for her.PROS:1. Lighter than the SKLZ gold flex. Perfect weight for junior golfers.2. Whippier and more flexible than the SKLZ Gold Flex.3. Better grip and quality than the SKLZ Gold Flex. The Grip feels like leather.4. Good length for Wedge swing training for adults.5. Comes with an instructional DVD and literature.6. Handcrafted in the USA.7. Perfect for warm up before a round.8. Teaches lag and a smooth swing.CONS:1. NoneSUMMARY:This is an excellent swing aid for junior golfers. I also use it to train my swing. Must have!******UPDATE******After using it for a month, both our swings have improved a lot. If you understand the concept of timing and Lag, this exaggerates those since it is so whippy, so that you can really feel and practice the proper release. The hinging of the wrist and Lag are what generates the club head speed necessary for distance and proper contact. After swinging this everyday for a month, I can hold on to my lag till the proper release point just before impact so much better than before. I tried it with my driver in my backyard and my swing speed increased by 8 to 10 mph. My 6 year old daughter as well gained another 10 yards on her drive. But this is not a magic training aid that you can just pick up and your swing will be fixed. I lent it to my nephew that cannot swing a club to save his life and it did not improve his swing. He was still swinging with his hands, not transferring his weight and topping the ball. My 6 year old attends the SCGA Golf Academy so she has a good swing already so it really refined her swing. My advice would be for those beginning golf to watch those videos on proper grip, stance, takeaway, lag, timing and follow through. This will help you master the last 3 if you already understand what it is you need to be practicing. This club will be useless if you still continue to cast the club by releasing early in your downswing. This exaggerates that so you really feel the release and whip.It is an awesome full body workout as well.

I am usually very skeptical of supposed golf aids advertised to improve your game, i.e., miracle clubs, balls and etc. Before purchasing it, I read a lot of information and reviews on the Orange Whip, and finally broke down and paid the very high price. This model is designed to emulate the swing of a driver; there are two more available for fairway irons and wedges. To use it, take a normal golf stance and grip, and then swing continuously forward and back for some time period. I’ve used it for about two months, for a minute or two every day in my yard. On my usual golf course I now, other than the driver, use at least one less club than I did before the Orange Whip. I am a senior, high handicap golfer, usually trying to break 100. Whereas prior to the Orange Whip, for me a long par 4 would be driver, 3 wood with still 30-40 yards left to the green. I now use driver, 5 wood or 5 hybrid for the same distance and wind up near the green if not on it. I credit the Orange Whip for a significant improvement in my club distances, though it could be an improvement in my swing mechanics that the Whip is not responsible for. I have worked hard on a correct grip and eliminating tension in my swing. I give credit to the Orange Whip thinking that the swing trainer has helped me with balance and a better rhythm when swinging the driver. For me it was worth the high price.

I believe the Orange Whip added range of motion and strength to my swing after coming off a winter where I lost 30 pounds where Iβm sure some was muscle mass. I could see a difference after my first round where I had lost a lot of distance. Using this for two weeks after round 1 made a marked difference. Hopefully, it will continue to improve tempo and add accuracy with more use.

Most golf aids don’t work. However, this device really helps me out. In my swing I tend to want to “come over the top”*** causing a slice. The medium weight and centrifugal force created when swinging The Orange Whip makes it IMPOSSIBLE to come over the top. Used it for a while and it helped tremendously. Then I stopped because I thought I was “cured” but the problem came back. Now I use it most every time before heading to the golf course for just 6-10 swings…that’s all it takes. REALLY helps me to groove the proper swing. Great device for us over the top golfers. Did NOT have the same success with the Orange Whip Wedge, Golf Short Game Swing Trainer Aid so that one was returned.***Over the Top is perhaps the most common swing fault among high handicap golfers. It occurs due to an overuse of the upper body on the downswing. As a result the club will be thrown on the outside of the intended swing plane with the club head approaching the ball from outside to in.

I love this thing! I use it mainly for warm up but I like the feel that I get for grooving my swing. I let my friends try it and even they like it. Great product

I bought the club to build strength after an injury and have been swinging it daily. It works great for this IMHO.What I did not expect is that it helped me correct my swing and get more inside the ball. You get a GREAT view of your swing path from the orange ball on the end.I also saw videos on YouTube that helped.

Helps greatly for warm ip

I was looking forward to receiving this, but had no idea how much it would help! I use it every time I go to the range as part of my warmup. It’s the first thing I grab. Allows me to get a good stretch and I feel like it’s easier to get down to the ball after use (I used to top a lot of balls early on).Second thing, tempo. It’s really easy while using it to feel the tempo you should use, but what I thought was cool is after using, I’m noticing a lot more the tempo and feel of the club head at the top of my swing and to be a little slower in the transition! I really enjoy this product so far and can’t suggest it enough.
