I ordered a 4 hybrid, 56, and 60 degree wedges. They all came quickly and in proper condition. They do a good job packing them and protecting the finish.Quality: With a month of hitting in these clubs I can say that for the money they are hitting way above their price point. The club feels forged as they claim it is. I have cast irons (replacing for forged soon) and can tell that the wedges feel so much better on contact and similar to other forged clubs my friends have let me swing before. The shafts seem like decent quality. The grips feel durable and didn’t seem to get slippery when my sweat from my non gloves hand got on it. Solid 8 for build quality.Performance: I have very limited experience with proper wedges of these lofts. Previously I had been using a pitching wedge and sometimes a 9 iron for all of my bull and run shots. Both of these wedges have given me more confidence around the greens and have good feedback. I also was able to work on flip shots with the 60 degree for the first time by opening up the club face. Placing high shots that land and stick on the green with back spin feels so satisfying. Until now I couldn’t really achieve that within 30 yards of the pin. The milled face offers good backspin control and even if you miss hit off the toe the milled surface still grips it. Another 8 here.Durability: So here’s where things get iffy. I have two range sessions on these clubs. After two sessions the black coating on the wedges are coming off pretty easily from the impact of the club taking a divot. Not the end of the world but I would expect the coating to last alittle longer. At the end of my second range session and right before my first round with the new clubs I go to hit a simple 65 yard shot with the 60 degree and the shaft snaps inside of the grip. Maybe this is my fault for ordering a regular shaft when I know I have high club head speeds. I’m only a month in to these clubs and broke one. So far durability gets a 7.Customer service: Here is where they are the best. I reached out to the company about redeeming the 1 year warranty on the broken wedge. I explained how it broke and they asked for my address and what I needed replaced. They put in the order and shipped me a new club 2 night air shipping. They didn’t ask for order confirmation, pictures, or anything else. They just sent me a new club. This is a no brained 10 here.Overall these clubs are well worth testing out. The wedges will get you into the wedge game and help you figure out what you’re capable of. They give you a close enough feel to a top tier club that’s 3 times the price. You could easily uses these to learn on for years and then later when your game desperately needs the next step of fine tuning get a set of customized wedges. Very impressed and customer service is second to none.

Are the grips smaller than normal? – Sure. Are the grips like “They’re so small! What the f*** happened?! Is this a joke?!?!…” – No. not even close. Are the grips small enough to deserve all the negativity in the comments? – No, and honestly I don’t get it.Let’s get this part out of the way quick – the wedges are great – quality feel, forged (what you want), milled (all the way across the face…brilliant…not sure why top brands don’t do this), bounce is low-medium (maybe 6?… what average-decent players usually prefer), and FINALLY – the grips are nice and grippy and very grip-like… similar to other grips that I have gripped in the past. In other words, if these grips caused you to have a melt down and you gained 15+ strokes to your game… perhaps see a doctor to make sure you’re hands didn’t randomly grow overnight. For people worried about the grips after reading other comments (almost convinced me not to buy) – the grips are fine. Now, will they be a bit smaller than a nice set of regripped clubs? – yes. However, they are not anything close to what I imagined after reading all the negative comments about people hating the grips. If an average-decent golfer (I consider myself) were not told ahead of time that these grips were a bit smaller, they would probably say, “Nice set of wedges! Feels great and well balanced. Grips feel nice… are the grips a bit smaller? Hmmm… maybe be a bit smaller?….. I don’t know. These feel great though.”If you are thinking about purchasing these wedges, just do it. My brother started playing high school golf and basically claimed my titleist wedges. I didn’t want to spend a lot for a new set of wedges, so I got these. Glad I did. Now, I couldn’t care less whether I have my titleists or these. I basically shoot the same with either (avg 80-85 on a par 72).

I was lacking a decent set of wedges in my golf bag, mostly because I had a knock off sand wedge and a hand me down lob wedge that was older than I am. I saw a few ads on facebook for Lazrus wedges, and after I saw the price I immediately ordered them. They have a forged face so shots feel very soft, the faces are also milled to provide maximum spin, and boy do they! the weight feels very good, and although they do not write the bounce on the wedges, I would assume that its quite high for forgiveness, something like a 10 or a 12 is likely. the only con I would say about the wedges is that they are forged so they’re soft; meaning they get pretty dinged up rattling around in your bag, and the grips. The grips will work, but they feel very thin, but $18 for 3 new Golf Pride grips and a $10 tape kit off of amazon fixed them right up! I did notice that Lazrus also sells iron sets and hybrids so I’ll likely give those a try as well!

I have played with these clubs for over 40 rounds this past year, and they have been doing great so far. I am an average golfer with some good days and some bad days, and the average distances I have recorded with these clubs is exactly 70 yards with the LW (60 degree), 80 yards with SW (56 degree), and 92 yards with GW (52 degree). For the first few months I was relying on the 56 degree as my “go-to” wedge approaching the green, but in recent months I really started relying on the 60 degree more and more. It’s such a great club for those tricky shots needed to pop the ball just over a bunker and land in a limited space on the green. Also, I’ve started using the 60 degree for most of my bunker shots around the green. It works really well for this – even better than the 56 degree in my experience.Downside? The clubs are a tad too short for my liking. This is noticeable at times when I need to use a full swing when I’m almost 100 yards out. If I don’t concentrate enough, I might lift my body too much and thin the shot. Otherwise, these are really great club at this price point.
