This putting challenge game is so much fun! We set it up (easy setup) the first night we received it and had a blast!! My wife, who’s not much of a golfer even played, along with my 12 year old son. The game was competitive and fun! The balls roll great on this surface and we can even set it up on our patio outside. We’ve bought other products from Go Sports and the quality is always excellent at a very fair price. Highly recommend!!

So first, what this is not: a true putting practice surface/experience for anyone interested in actual golf. Nor, is it some sort of more mini, mini golf. Or, some super complicated, 3d board game. It’s a rug with some pictures on it (think durable kids play rugs) — and a buncha colored golf balls. That said, the rug is much larger than you’d think. It provides hours of fun for families, especially with younger kids. There are so many ways to play, even with one young child. And while other reviews say its pricey, I actually think it’s kinda the right price for what you get.Though, and I can’t really speak to this as I’ve not played in the following way, I think the appeal as a party, drinking, tail-gating game might wear thin pretty quickly. The mat is not large enough, in my view and i’ve tried this a bit, for four people to really have fun knocking each others balls around. Just seems cramped and odd. Then again, I guess if everyone is getting blitzed it might be more amusing. Also, I doubt this thing would hold up well going outside – like in parking lots or on concrete/dirt. Seems like it would start to flake, fall apart and the top graphics/tufting would wear poorly. The mat is also not thick enough to absorb any kinda bumps or uneven ground, but not large enough to make such inconsistencies part of the game. Further, you’d have to carry several putters you don’t really care about around in your car – not gonna happen. Just seems like a hassle for tailgating or a cookout.

This game is so much fun, people can’t wait for their turn to play. It’s just the right challenge and adds a lot of fun to a gathering. Even non-golfers have a lot of fun and do quite well!

I live in a golf community, so this was a must-have. All ages love playing with this in my rec room. I even ordered putters of various sizes for my family (ages 3-60+).

It would really help if it had a border to hold the balls on the mat so as not to be rolling off and under furniture when it too hard or when caroming off other balls already played. I’ve found using the box it comes in and is stored in, placed at the back helps with long balls. Also if it had a little thicker knap it might slow them down a bit. But over all, it is a fun way to practice or play a game.

Was great for our Master’s party. Even young ones can play.

It was a favorite Father’s Day gift. We play it as a family or dad practices his putting alone.

Good quality rug. Comes with a dry erase score board.
