I have an older Odyssey White Ice mallet style putter. I like it….but I don’t love it. So I have been thinking about getting a new putter for some time. Just having trouble getting a consistent steady stroke back and thru the ball. I have tried multiple over-sized grips – one with a slight tapper which I used for a few seasons, then a pistol style I bought earlier this year which was better, but I still wanted something more solid.I watch a lot of golf and have seen a few pros using a SuperStroke putter so decided to give one a try. The descriptions are a little vague when it comes to the diameter of the putter options so I had to look elsewhere on the SuperStroke web site to find more details. They are described as; Ultra Slim 1.0, Mid-Slim 2.0, Slim 3.0, and Fatso 5.0. I have large gorilla sized hands and use large Jumbo Max grips on all my clubs so the Fatso 5.0 seemed to make sense.Still I was a little surprised at just how big this grip is….it is huge. It measures about 1.5″ in diameter – and I love it. Finally a grip that my big hands cannot make feel small. The grips just sits naturally solid in my hands. After just a few test putts indoors I can see a more consistent club path thru the ball. I have even reverted back to a standard left hand low grip versus the reverse grip I have been using which seemed to work better with smaller grips. The flat spot on top gives me a nice place to rest my thumbs which I really like. I just get a much more solid grip overall and can’t wait to take it to the range to run it through the paces. My putter has been given a second chance. The material has a nice feel too it. It’s not rubbery like my grips, but more comfortable while not being slippery or sticky. It’s a good looking putter grip too. I opted for the Camo Tan pattern which I really like since it won’t show dirt as easily. I am extremely pleased with this grip. Yes I still need to take it for a spin, but the way it feels just holding it is confidence inspiring and it has been a long time since I have had that sort of feeling with my putter.Regardless if you have large hands, I would suggest giving one of these a try if you are not happy with your current putter grip. For me the price was not a consideration, but compared to other grips I have tried it’s a decent value.

This is the 1st time I’ve gone to an oversized, square putter grip. Until now I’ve always used the standard Ping grip and after getting use to the difference in feel have noticed that it does help to keep the putter in the right position at impact and thru follow-through. I like this grip but if I were to do it over again think I would have gone with the next size smaller. Other than that, the grip is comfortable and I really like it’s soft, tacky feel. With regards to the order, the grip arrived on time and as advertised.

Had used Winn grips for 35+ years. Tried superstroke 3.0, 4 months ago and find it better. Iโm a clubmaker, so I have a gripping station. Would be difficult for inexperienced person without a gripping station to install this grip properly aligned.

Putter feels better when it strikes the ball. Less tendency to push than with the original grip. Putting is easier with the bigger grip and counter weight to balance the head.
